Multi Arts Lead Preschool Teacher
Duration: 34 weeks
Hours: 8:30am - 3:15pm
Pay Rate: $17/hr - $19/hr
Beyond looking for the right skills, Arts Together seeks a team member who supports our mission “to cultivate individual, creative strengths through the arts in a diverse, inclusive, collaborative and nurturing community.” This position includes 2 roles that vary from morning to afternoon session.
Duties:
Ensures the safety and supervision of the children at all times; must be able to maintain visual and auditory supervision both indoors and outside.
Responsible for the upkeep of an organized, nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
Instill a sense of discipline and respect that allows children to work well together and feel a sense of community.
Creates and follows a developmentally appropriate lesson plans which reflects the multi-arts approach to education. Lesson plans should include colors, shapes, letters, and numbers.
Maintains the overall classroom environment including restocking supplies and keeping an orderly environment.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of proven experience working with children in a professional setting
Minimum of an Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
