Summer Camp Counselor – Arts Together

Hours: Mon - Fri, Full/Half Day Shifts

Arts Together is seeking enthusiastic and creative Summer Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting season of arts-based camps! Our camps serve children ages 3-12, offering a dynamic blend of visual arts, dance, drama, and music in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Summer Camp Counselors play a key role in ensuring a fun, safe, and engaging experience for campers. Counselors will assist in leading activities, supervise children during daily routines, and support teaching artists in creative lessons. Some counselors will be selected from our popular Counselor-in-Training (CIT) volunteer program, while others will be experienced individuals from the community who have a passion for working with children and a strong connection to an art form.

Duties:

  • Supervise and engage with campers during activities, meals, and transitions.

  • Assist lead instructors and teaching artists with arts-integrated lessons.

  • Create a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive camp environment.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by following camp policies and procedures.

  • Lead small group games, movement activities, and team-building exercises.

  • Help set up and clean up camp spaces as needed.

  • Serve as positive role models and mentors for campers.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in a camp, school, or arts-based setting.

  • Passion for the arts (visual art, dance, theater, music, etc.).

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Enthusiasm, patience, and creativity.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
